Thanksgiving Break

Dear Elms Community,

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, we are aware of the stay at home advisory issued this morning by Summit County Board of Health. As you know, we have plans in place for continuous learning from home for Grades K-12 the week after Thanksgiving. In light of this morning’s advisory and the current positive COVID cases reported regionally, we have decided to extend the Elms Thanksgiving break to include Monday and Tuesday of next week.

That means that at the end of school tomorrow, Friday, November 20, Thanksgiving break begins and will continue through Sunday, November 29. On Monday, November 30, students begin continuous learning virtually from home through Friday, December 4. Pre-School students may return to campus, 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning November 30.

Our plan remains to return to in-person learning on Monday, December 7 for all students and continue offering in-person learning through Thursday, December 17. Winter break for students begins on Friday, December 18, and continues through Sunday, January 3. Winter break will be followed by a week of continuous learning virtually from home (January 4-8), with in-person classes resuming on January 11. Pre-School can return to campus on Monday, January 4, 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

We are grateful for the faith you have placed in the faculty and staff of Our Lady of the Elms School and for entrusting your child’s education to us. I hope you enjoy the Thanksgiving break with your family. Be well!

Blessings,
