The Akron-Summit Council on Holocaust & Genocide Education, in partnership with the Akron-Summit County Public Library, will host its 33rd annual Akron-Summit Holocaust Commemoration and Awards Ceremony virtually April 6 at 6 p.m.

The ceremony themed “What Does the Holocaust Teach Us About Opposing Hatred and Cruelty,” will commemorate the Holocaust, which resulted in the deaths of 6 million Jews and 11 million others, and recognize students whose work will be displayed in a curated show at the Akron-Summit County Main Library through April 14 and also at akronsummitholocausteducation.org.
