Class is in session Monday, March 16

General Information

  • School is in session on Monday as normal.

  • We are not treating this as a spring break. 

  • Upper School and Middle School students please pack a lunch on Monday. There is no lunch service.

  • We are moving to digital learning beginning on Tuesday, March 17.

All extracurricular activities are canceled after Monday until further notice.

  • Urban Air Fundraiser - This has been postponed. You’ll be updated with new dates as soon as it’s scheduled.

  • The Father-Daughter Dance - We are hoping to reschedule in May.  Please do not return your RSVP at this time. Any RSVPs that have already been received will be returned by Monday, March 16th. Once we have an alternative date we will send out a communication with the details.  

  • Elms Open House - Postponed until further notice.

  • Book Fair - Postponed until further notice.

Before students leave on Monday, students must:

  • Have access to their Elms Google account and Digital Academy accounts. If a student needs help accessing that account please see Mrs. Hejl in Administration

  • Take all necessary books home, along with handouts and folders from teachers.

  • Please remove all food and drink from your lockers.

Digital Learning

  • Teachers have the flexibility to structure and create their online classrooms. 

  • Students should address questions about digital learning to their teachers directly. 

  • Teachers will be available via email throughout the three weeks. 

  • Look for your first assignment Tuesday morning with homework and due dates.

  • If students need to borrow Chromebooks, please see Mrs. Hines or Ms. Lunder. One Chromebook per family.

Week 1

  • All extracurricular activities are canceled after Monday until further notice.

  • We will sanitize and disinfect the buildings.

Weeks 2 & 3

  • Faculty and staff will have access to the buildings on a limited basis.

  • Students will not be given access to the buildings; that’s why it’s important for you to take everything with you on Monday.

We will continue to monitor the advice and recommendations regarding COVID-19 from Governor DeWine, Summit County Public Health, and the Ohio Department of Health. At this point, we plan to resume school on Monday, April 6th, and then the school will be closed for Spring Break on Friday, April 10 and resume Monday, April 20.
