Introducing Marina Ristev: Our New Middle School Teacher
Our Lady of the Elms School is pleased to announce Marina Ristev as the newest member of our Middle School team, bringing a passion for literature and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in her students.
Marina's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Education (Integrated English Language Arts) from Miami University, where she graduated with a Magna Cum Laude distinction. She has a proven track record in education, having served as a Family Home Childcare Provider, Early Childhood/Parent & Child Teacher at Spring Garden Waldorf School, and as a dedicated Title I Tutor at Woodridge Middle School.
"I am excited to read and discuss literature! I see this subject as a vehicle for questioning all that surrounds us; only the English classroom is unique in that it lends itself to complete and unabashed exploration (and discovery) of self, community -- and if we're willing to dive that deep -- the world at large," Marina shared.
Marina's approach to teaching emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, and holistic development. Her ability to create engaging learning environments and her passion for literature will undoubtedly inspire and empower our middle school students at Our Lady of the Elms School.
