Meet LaTisca Henderson-Watkins: Fostering Growth and Support as Our School Counselor

LaTisca Henderson-Watkins is our school counselor at Our Lady of the Elms School. LaTisca holds a Master of Education with a focus on School Counseling and a B.A. in Psychology from Kent State University, where she graduated cum laude. With her extensive background in academic and social-emotional counseling, LaTisca has already made a significant impact at schools like St. Hilary and St. Vincent-St. Mary High School.

In her own words, “As a school counselor, I strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment for each and every student to thrive in. It is a great privilege to serve our youth and be a part of the community.” Her approach focuses on fostering growth through both academic guidance and emotional support, helping students build essential skills in study habits, self-esteem, and interpersonal relationships.

With her experience in small group and individual counseling, LaTisca is committed to creating a supportive environment where each student can flourish. We are excited to have her as part of our Elms family, and we know she will be an incredible resource for our students and community.
